Correctly spelling “aquatic” and “glucose” in the final round, fifth-grader Sam Gascho was the winner of the Radez Spelling Bee on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
Gascho was one of 24 students to take part in the annual spelling bee. The fourth- and fifth-graders spelled words on the gymnasium stage in front of an audience of their peers, teachers and parents.
Fifth-grader Lana Cert and fourth-grader Giuliana Althiser finished in second and third place, respectively.
